the wholesomeness

of many stories.

The goal of the poster was to create a collaborative project between one of my works with a person I admire, and I chose Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, author of Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun, The Thing Around Your Neck, Americanah, and We Should All Be Feminists. The collaboration combined the concept of a typed based poster from my project "I am Not My Hair" with the many empowering quotes in Adichie's speeches and writings. The result was a poster that used typographic compositions to highlight the multiple stories of being African, a topic Adichie discusses in her most popular speech during the 2009 TED Conference.

The final poster was displayed in a group exhibition, Open Studio, in Lacoste France in 2018.
